Hmm... well it's been a while. Apparently since last Christmas season. I dunno, I guess there's not much to talk about here when I express so much personality in my submissions, as few as they are XD

I got thinking today about my critiquing side of my time spent here. I like to critique, probably because I have a good vision of what I would like to do, but my hands don't quite get it right XD I think I have a good artistic vision, but just can't follow through. So I can catch mistakes that people might not realize or even care about that much. I remember the first time I went off to critique someone random I don't even know why I did it. I suppose I was bored and was surfing DA and noticed that there was some really good artwork up by a person and went to check it out. I just realized how shallow most comments on DA are. I'm not saying it's bad to say "Woah that's some sweet artwork!" but I just felt like I should be able to give them something more substantial in my comment than a simple praise.

So I went on to critique their art and tell them what I would change for next time. And surprisingly, the guy commented back and said that he appreciated it. I forgot who it was, no one that I know now, but it was still interesting to see.

So now I critique often. I mainly follow just a few people, but sometimes I'll go for the random comment and see if the artist appreciates it or not. If they do, I'll probably add them to my list of people to critique. Otherwise I'll just continue on my merry way.

Hmm... I dunno, that was a random journal entry, wasn't it. Not really a lot of substance, just a lot of me rambling. Oh well, I suppose I barely have any watchers anyway, so I'm not boring anyone who will get pissed XD Just a small note, I did my first gif today (*points to new shiny icon*) and maybe I'll experiment with gifs in the future.
